T. N. Rajarathnam Pillai was born on 27 August 1898 in the village called Thirumarugal in Tamil. His birth name is Balasubramaniam, also known as TNR - Thiruvaduthurai Thirmarugal Natespillao Rajarathinam Pillai. Rajarathnam was a Nadaswaram Performer and was accustomed to the musical instrument Nadaswaram. He was an active participant in the musical form of Nadaswaram for 32 years. He lived for 58 years and died on 12 December 1956. T. N. Rajarathnam Pillai was an Indian Carnatic Musician, vocalist, and Actor. He was commonly known as Nadaswara Chakravarthi, who was Emperor of Nadaswaram. He made his first film debut in a movie called THiruneelakantar in 1939. He got featured as the poet of a tamil poet in the 16th century. In 1956, he got recognized in the Madras Music Academy in the title of Sangeetha Kalanidhi who is a Doctor of Music.
