Mayu Ganeshan is a Tamil-based Australian Music Producer and Audio Engineer. He was born in Jaffna, a city known for its large Tamil population in Sri Lanka. Then, he moved to Australia for his advanced studies in Audio engineering after completing his undergraduate in Audio engineering in Sri Lanka.
He is a self-taught musician, proficient in both keyboard and guitar playing. Additionally, he has gained recognition as a skilled music director and lyricist for the vocal elements of his tracks. He joined Green Recording and Mastering Studio and made his single album and movie projects in 2009. He composed music for the song “Kashal Piranthathe” at Green Recording and Mastering.
He associated with Create Media and launched his debut album, “Aappam” in 2010 at Paramatta’s Mars Hill Cafe. It is a compilation of dance, hip-hop, and rock music infused with Tamil film ballads. This album results from his involvement in Creative Media, an information and Cultural Exchange (ICE) initiative working with young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds who are aspiring digital media artists. He worked as a composer for three short films with ICE and as a sound recording artist for the Australian movie Silent Eyes, directed by James Mathew.
He was a music director for the movie “Nunnunaravu”, an Indian Tamil language-based film shot in Australia, released on 30 September 2016. He composed five song tracks, namely “Pesikava,” “Manjal Malai,” “Engirinitho Isai,” and “Weekendla” and also the background score theme for this movie. The most popular songs composed by him are “ Thozha Click to look into! >> Read More... ” and “Sugam.”
