Nivedhita is an Indian actress who works for Kannada films. She is best known as Smitha. Her birthplace is Karnataka. She did her schooling from Chikmagalur. Later she studied at the Marimallappa High School and completed her college education. She also joined NCC.
After graduating as an engineering student from Bangalore, she joined a software company for a year. Then she left the job to pursue an acting career. She started her career with Akasha Ganga by the famous director Dinesh Babu. Then she moved on to the Tamil industry as she did not get any roles in Kannada. Porkkalam was her first Tamil film where she acted. She also believed in astrology. She changed her name to Nivedhita as she was not getting the roles that she wanted.
