Y. Vijaya

Y.Vijaya, profoundly known as Yenigandla Vijaya, is a prominent Indian actress and a well-known classical dancer. She is known for her work in Kannada, Malayam, Tamil, and Telegu Film Industry.She was born under the zodiac sign Aquarius. Vijaya was born on the 8th of February, in the year 1957. Her place of birth is Karnool / Kadapa, Andra Pradesh, in India. She is active in this industry since 1965.

She is the fifth daughter, born to her father,YenigandlaJnanyya, and the mother,Balamma. Her father is a district manager by profession, and her mother is a homemaker. Vijaya always had a keen interest in dancing. At the age of three or four, she used to dance on the rhythm. It was when her parents acknowledged her talent and made sure to teach their daughter the art of dancing.Vijaya did her schooling from Government Girls High School, in Kadapa till the eighth standard.

After that, she did her studies from Kesari High Secondary School.She has also expressed her love for dancing by giving several stage performances. She tied the knot on the 27th of January, 1985, with Amalanathan, a businessman.Vijaya also has a daughter named Anushya. She presently resides in Mahalingapuram, Chennai, with her husband. Vijaya’s amateur talent of dancing got nurtured under the guidance of her guru Vempati China Satyam.

She learned dancing in Madras, Tamil Nadu. Due to her desire for dancing, she joined Kesari High Secondary School and continued with her studies there. She stepped into the film industry when the producer of the film NinduHrudayalu, offered her to play the character of a dancing beggar.After that, she worked on many projects and grabbed many opportunities.

Vijaya is known to have worked in around a thousand films, which is something to be appreciated. Some of her works are Anaganaga Oka Roju, Shanti Kranti, Maatho Pettukoko, Vani Rani in the year 1997,1991, 1995, and 1974. She has also worked in a Hindi movie titled Meethi Meethi Baatein Meethi Meethi Baatein is serial in the comedy genr >> Read More... released in the year 1977. In her film Sri Krishna Satya, she played lead character opposite to one of the most eminent personalities, N.T Rama Rao.

She then carried on with her venture and fulfilled her desire. F2 – Fun, and Frustration is her recent film released in 2019. She has also worked in the Television industry. She worked in serials such as, in Kalki (2004-2006). Her latest television serial Mother in law telecasted on Maam TV. She portrayed the role of Agni Sakshi.She is one of the talented individuals who makes everyone mesmerized with her performance, be it dance or acting.
