Anish Tharun Kumar is an Indian cinematographer and director of photography whose career kicked off in 2014 with the film started with the film Andhaghaaram. Later on, he went on to be associated with the 2017 Hindi film Rangoon. Some of his most cherished works include the Tapsee Pannu starrer Telugu language horror-comedy film Anando Brahmo, Adyaksha in America, Mafia, and Virgin Story. As someone who had an interest in photography since a very young age, Anish soon explored the area of motion picture cameras. He enrolled himself in Film Institute. He had the opportunity to work as an assistant to the renowned Director of Photography, R.D. Rajasekar after his graduation.
Since then, he has shot seven feature films of different genres. He has his creative process, from communication and visualization to deciding the color palette and storyboarding. He considers the comedy film Anando Brahmo as his most challenging project. He draws much inspiration from the famous Director of Photography, P.C. Sreeram.
