It was the only Tamil Film to be chosen to compete in the 16th Zimbabwe International Film Festival.

It was also the only Tamil film selected for the Indian Panorama section of the 45th International Film Festival of India. The movie explored many different issues like corporal punishment, adequacy of our school systems and how one unexpected event can influence people from diverse lifestyles.

The director had spotted her in a tour, and he was so impressed with her astuteness that recommended her to A M Saravanan. The producer signed Yuvina for the project, and her electrifying screen presence clicked well with the audience and she became an outstanding child actress on the small screen. The success of the serial was totally due to her screen presence and acting skills.
