Hailing from the quaint town of Klang in Malaysia, Nisha Kumar was the eldest daughter among three siblings. Her family was deeply involved in business ventures, and her father managed an industrial laundry facility, with conventional expectations dictating that they would eventually assume the reins of the family factory. However, Nisha diverged from her family tradition and pursued a degree in physiotherapy and successfully completed her studies in the field.
Nisha began her first picture session for a wedding magazine during her senior year of college. She then entered the world of editorial work by acting as a model at the request of a family friend who also happened to be a makeup artist. The first time she had the pleasure of seeing her picture on paper, it sparked something deep inside of her, and she participated in two different cover model competitions held by separate publications and won both of them. These successes consequently thrust her into the foreground of several prestigious magazines. After a year, she decided to enter the Miss Earth Malaysia pageant, and she won the prestigious side title. She was also the top 10 finalist in the 2015 Miss Universe Malaysia competition. She then turned from modeling to full-fledged acting. She was last seen in a role in the movie Mitara (2020).
