Hailing from Thazhathangadi, Kottayam, Anzil has been a known face in Malayalam big screen and mini-screen as well. He started his career as an actor in album songs, mostly Mappilappattu songs. He has also featured in advertisements and telefilms. He is an active member of the Association of Television Media Artists (ATMA) and is also part of the organisation's cricket team. Apart from being an actor, he is an excellent dancer and has proved his dancing skills on various stage performances along with danseuse and Mollywood actresses. He has participated in several reality shows such as 'Tharolsavam' in Kairali TV. As part of a controversy related to serial actors participating in reality shows, in 2011, ATMA had issued him a ban on acting in serials. The ban was later known to be lifted, and the issue solved amicably.
