Born in Parassala, Tamil Nadu, Akhilesh completed his schooling at GVHSS, Parassala in 2014. He studied for his chosen profession at the Sound Engineering Academy, Kerala, where he focused on sound reinforcement.
After graduating in 2017, he worked as an audio engineer for the college for a short period. The sound engineer also worked as a model and photographer for Camfreakzz. In 2017, Akhilesh joined Mazhavil Manorama as a sound engineer. He also works for Manorama News TV.
