Zia Ul Haq is a famous singer in Mollywood. He hails from Tamil Nadu. He inherited his passion for singing from his family. His grandmother used to sing, his father played the harmonium, and his mother was a singer at Akashvani Radio. After completing high school, he went to Sangeeth Sandhana Mandir in Pachmarhi, Madhya Pradesh.He visited Nizamuddin Dargah frequently, where he learned the art of Sufi music. He also joined the Inayath Khan Music Academy (New Delhi).
In 2010, Haq’s first song was Kaatrile. It was a collaboration with Hariharan Anantha Subramani for the movie Madrasapattinam. Following, he was assigned a song, Thalapathy Thalapathy, for the movie Thalaiva, starring Joseph Vijay Chandrasekhar. In 2017, he sang O Rabba Bhayangariya for Godha. Haq is an active member of the Qawwali band Hazrath. He has worked on several music albums, such as Anwar Aman's Ajmer Khwaja and Ratheesh Vega's Ali Maula. He has lent his voice to movies such as Naa Illu India (2018), Sufiyum Sujatayum (2020) and Most Eligible Bachelor (2021).
