Chinta Shyamsundar

Chinta Shyamsundar is one of the founding members of Engage Tree Consulting. The organization provides consultancy services to startups and emerging growth companies. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in commerce (Costing and Accounting) from Bangalore University and completed an MBA course in Finance. He joined Amco Batteries & Madura Coats as a business executive in 1988 and worked there for four years before switching to Asia Brown Boveri Ltd. as its controller for the South Asian region. After serving the company for fourteen years, he was hired by the Bangalore International Airport for the post of the head controller.

His stay there was short-lived since after two years, he became the CFO and COO of Jupiter Media Entertainment. He soon got promoted to the post of CEO of the Asianet News Network. In his six years’ career at the company, he was a huge asset for them in the fields of value creation and brand development, including media & entertainment projects of regional news channels (Asianet New & Suvarna News 24x7), print media (Kannada language), radio channel FM 91.9, and live music streams (Indigo Music). He played a key role in reshaping the print media after taking over from the Everest Group. He helped increase the distribution and sales of the morning daily ‘Kannada Prabha.’ He resigned from his post in 2015 to pursue business options in the e-commerce sector, focusing on gifting and apparel services.
