Avanthika Mohan is an Indian Malayalam actress and model born on 8 June 1990 in Dubai. She currently resides in India. Mohan has won Miss Malabar 2011 title and also subtitle Miss Perfect 2010. She has a degree in Bachelor of Commerce. Her passion was to become a dancer, and she had taken training for the same. But soon after winning a beauty pageant she started getting acting offers and decided to join the film industry instead. Initially, she had many projects in hand but preferred to take up those in her mother tongue itself.
She played a unique character of a snake ghost called ‘Nagayakshi’ in an experimental movie called ‘Yaskhi-Faithfully yours,' which marked her debut in the film industry. Later she starred in Crocodile love story and Mr. Bean, which is a comedy flick.
Her ‘Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi' was commercially successful as well. She made her Tamil debut with ‘Aalamaram’. Her debut Telugu film was ‘

’. She also was starred in Shyam Mohan’s thriller ‘8:20’ and got a good appreciation for her performance from critics and audiences. She has put stunning performance as ‘Nitya’ in ‘crocodile love story’. She is also the part of upcoming Kannada film ‘Male Baruva Munna’.
In most of her projects, she has spent time working with the young and fresh team. She feels working with the young and energetic team is fun. She has done many commercial ads and couple of ramp shows as well. She was also the judge on the show ‘Dancing star’. She is indeed lucky since she has got lead roles in almost four different languages. This throws light into her talents and capabilities as an actress. Currently, she has signed a Hindi film and is all set to make her debut in Hindi film industry as well. This movie is directed by Samagra Ganesh and will be shot in Lucknow and Manali. The shooting has begun from November 2015.
