Santhosh Pandit born in Kerala, India is a Malayalam producer, film actor, director, film writer, musician, choreographer, singer, internet celebrity and a film editor. Santhosh was born in a village called Peruvannamuzhi and grew up in the city Kozhikode. He did his schooling from AKKR High School at Chelannur and attended college at Government Arts College. He lost his parents at an early age and inherited three houses. He sold one of his houses to raise funds for his debut film. His first marriage was unsuccessful, and thus, he divorced his wife and got remarried. He had one son by his first wife named Navajyoth Pandit.

In 2011, Santhosh’s debut film released titled “Krishnanum Radhayum” and the movie proved to be a hit. Santhosh was given credits for his work as a director, actor, music director, scriptwriter, editor, playback singer and lyric writer in the movie and also there is a chance that he could enter the record books for holding the maximum credits by a single person in a movie.  In the same year, he was on the second number in Google trends according to a magazine “The Deccan Chronicle.” In his second movie “Superstar Santhosh Pandit” again he was credited with all the work. But this movie was a big flop and earned negative reviews from the public. Santhosh received the “Eklavya Karma Sreshta Award” in the year 2011 for handling all the departments in a movie. 

In the year 2013 and 2014 Santhosh featured in a program called “ Malayalee House Malayalee House is reality TV show which aired on >> Read More... Malayalee House ” from which he got eliminated in the fourth week by his inmates. But he was brought back in the show as the makers realized that they had made a big mistake by evicting Santhosh. In 2015, Santhosh made a cameo appearance in the movie “Love 24x7.”

O. Madhavan

O. Madhavan was a man of great honour, not only for his achievements in the Indian Theatre, but also for his social life. He was one of the founders and a prominent leader of the Communist Party of India. Born in 1922, he was the founder of the very famous Kalidasa Kala Kendram, a drama company. He was also the winner of Kerala State Award for Best Actor in the year 2000 for his role of a communist in the film Sayahnam. He was associated with the Malayalam theatre for over 40 years. He was married to Vijayakumari, also an actress. He had a son who is also a popular actor himself. Apart from him, he had two daughters named Sandhya Rajendran, and Jayashree. Sandhya’s husband is also an actor. Although he starred in a very limited movies all his life he devoted himself for the good of theatre and Malayalam cinema. From his small bag of movies, there were films like Kalam Marunnu(1955), Doctor(1962), Kottupookkal(1965), and Sayahnam(2000), that were a treat to watch and also proved his worth as a very valueable actor. Before getting into theatre, in his college days, he was an activist of Student’s Federation at S.N. College in Kollam. All his life,  apart from being a renowned name in the Malayalam Theatre, he was also equally associated and devoted to the Communist Party. In fact in many of his movies, he played the role of a communist. In his first acting venture, he acted as a communist leader and a landlord. Also in his award winning movie Sayahnam, he depicted the agony of a communist leader in his old age. This movie won a total of 7 awards and was appreciated amply. Even his last movie depicted him to be a communist leader. These movies in which he was associated and acted as a communist helped a lot in stirring the masses in joining the communist movement. Not only his films, even his plays were related to the communist party and provided enough assistance in the establishment of the Communist Movement in Kerala. He was a true noble man who died at the age of 81 on August 20, 2005 in a hospital due to prolonged illness. After his death his body was brought to his native, where the last rituals were performed the next day. All of Malayalam cinema, and the politicians had a day of sorrow upon his death. He was among those very few people who are humble even after getting successful. A theatre studio is to be opened in the memory of this gem of a man in his hometown. Also the unveiling of a statue at Kappalandimukku Junction in Kollam in 2012 by Kerala C.M. Oommen Chandy reminds the youth of the values of what a respectable person he was.

Thottathimyalil Mathew Abraham (TM Abraham), born in Thodupuzha at Neyyassery village, Idukki District of Kerala, is the director of Indian theater and playwright. He was a Christian by birth, and his father’s name was Joseph Mathew Thottathimyalil and mother’s name was Aleykutty Mathew. They were 11 children, and TM Abraham was second among them. He completed his schooling from St. Sebastian School at Neyyasery and completed his graduation from Kerala University. He has also done diploma in public relations. When he was of 21, he joined FACT (Fertilizers And Chemicals Travancore Ltd). He joined as a chemist there and did his work with utter dedication. When he was about to retire in the year 2004, he was a Public Relations Manager. Being a chemist was his profession, but his passion was literature. Literature is an art of saying something extraordinary with ordinary words. From the years 1995 to 1998, he was the member of the Kerala Kalamandalam (it is a deemed University of Arts and Literature and a major center for learning performing arts) and the Kerala Sahitya Akademi (Academy of Malayalam literature which promotes the Malayalam language). He soaked himself completely into literature by being the Secretary of the Indian Society of Authors from the year 2002 to the year 2004. He felt the pride to be the executive member of the prestigious Samasta Kerala Sahitya Parishad. Later on, he went to be a part of a drama group which was based in Kochi and then became the secretary of the group (Cochin Theatre Group). There is Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi, located in Thrissur city of Kerala, which aims to foster the Kerala music, dance, and drama. This academy appointed TM Abraham as its Vice Chairman. This single handled all these positions very efficiently and did complete justice with his work. He is a very talented person and has made a lot of contribution to Indian literature. He has published around 14 Malayalam books in different categories including: the monograph, poems, translations, etc. One of his famous plays is Rakhtabali, which was translated into Bengali language and in the year 2000, it got published in the Bengali Theater Journal ‘Shoodrak’. The other skit, Nashtapetta Chirakukal, was translated into language Hindi. His various other novels, dramas, plays included Perunthachan (it is a folklore of Kerala referring to ancient carpenters), Athbuthanganam, Pravukal Ippo Karayunnila, Kerri Murcia Kannur, Ulpatthi (Malayalam novel), Shantigiri, Theatre Games Kuttikalkku, etc. All these works of him are appreciated by everyone thoroughly. His various translations included Jesus CEO (Malayalam translation of Jesus CEO by Laurie Beth Jones), Caligula (translation of Albert Campus’s play into Malayalam), Vadhu(Kannada play translated into Malayalam), etc. All these works gave him recognition and appreciation as well. The list of his awards his endless. He received first prize in the Professional Drama Competition of Kerala for the play Aham Aham, received Sangeeta Nataka Akademi award for the best playwright, Senior Fellowship by the cultural department under the government in the year 2004, etc. Even until today, his works are read and seen all over the world.
