Prasanth Vijay is a Malayalam film director known for his coming-of-age feature films. His second feature film is Daayam (Inheritance). The film premiered at the Mumbai Film Festival and was part of the Malayalam film package at the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK). His debut feature The Summer of Miracles (Athishayangalude Venal) also explored themes of childhood and the absence of a parent. It followed a similar path screened at MAMI and IFFK, considered international diaspora festivals.
