Aardraa Nambiar

Aardraaa Nambiar is an Indian director who works in the Malayalam film and television industry. She was born in Kannur to Malayali parents, Janardhanan Nambiar and Prabhavathi. Post her school education, she secured a degree in English Language and Literature. She did her post-graduation in the same course and followed it up with doing MBA in Marketing and PR.

She started her career as a television host and has worked in channel programs of many Malayalam channels like Asianet, Kairali, Doordarshan Malayalam, Jeevan TV, etc. She was also part of the production department of many TV serials, reality shows, and stage shows. “Ennu Ninte Koottukaari” was her directorial debut, a TV serial telecasted on Mazhavil Manorama. After venturing into the field of direction, she worked as the assistant director in the 2017 film ‘Careful’, directed by V K Prakash. She worked as associate director for films like ‘Swarna Mathsyangal’ and ‘Erida’ and has experience as a Casting director as well. She has also worked on the scripts for the documentaries of the production company by the name ‘Cinema Paradiso.’ Aardraaa is married and has two sons.
