David Phutardo

David Phutardo is a choreographer. He participated in many extracurricular activities during his school days and also joined the school dance group. After this, he also won many awards in inter-school dancing competitions. Along with dancing, he also joined sports like football in school, after which he joined the school sports team and won many inter-school competitions. After this, he played hockey in college and was chosen captain. David was also selected among the top 16 football players at the state level. However, he could not take his sports career forward due to his knee injury. But dancing gave him another opportunity to move forward, after which he started working as a coordinator of entertainment activities at Hotel Taj Vivanta in Goa.

Here he choreographed for corporations, weddings, and celebrity functions. Seeing his work, he became the choice of many big brands and celebrities for the creation and choreography of the shows. After this, he also did choreography in many MTV shows Splitsvilla – Season 8 and Captain Shack. Apart from this, he also choreographed many TV commercials. He started his film career with the Marathi movie ‘Prem at First Sight’. In 2007, he opened his academy of dance and aerobics named The David Furtado Dance Academy. Thereafter regular dance classes are conducted by the instructors trained by him throughout the year in many schools and colleges in Goa and other cities.
