Jose Munambam is a veteran Mollywood actor, known for films like Kankettu (1991), Prema Soothram (2018), and Thobama (2018). He was born on November 27, 1946, to his parents, Varki and Mariam, in Charthamparam. He completed his primary school education in Munambam and Pallipuram and studied till class 9 in Thrissur’s Seethi Sahib Memorial High School. At the age of 12, he made his debut in Paravoor George’s play Nercha Kozhi and subsequently acted in many theater plays.
He made his feature film debut in Thriprayar Sukumaran’s film Chakram when it was shot in his native place, and he started acting in many films over the years. He also acted in many serials like Sarada, Stri, Manas, Dhanyam, etc. as the leading character. He is also a mimicry artist and imitates many actors’ voices like Sathyan, Premnaseer, K.P. Ummer, Govindankutty, T R Omana, etc. On the personal front, he lives with his son’s family in Thrissur, managing small businesses around the area.
