Shimoga Subbanna is an Indian singer who worked for the Kannada film industry. He was born on 14th December 1938 in Nagara, Karnataka. For the film Kaadu Kudure, he received the national award for the song Kaadu Kudure Odi Banditta. He is also an advocate and a notary public apart from being only a singer and a musician.
Shimoga also received several awards for his contributions like National Filmfare Awards for Best Male Playback Singer in 1978, Kannada Kampu Awards in 2006, Sundarashri Awards in 2009, an Honorary Doctorate from Kuvempu University in 2008.
