He loved films and writing since he was a kid. He started writing some poems, short stories and his first story was titled Pralay when he was nine years old. It was released on 23 May 2005. He also won one award for this film and got several nominations.
He is known for his films like Arya, Indian Fish in American Waters in 2003, Flavors in 2003, When Kiran met Karen in 2008, Date #25, Extrospection in 2009, E- Preeti in 2016, Margaret in 2015, 9 Eleven in 2011. His film 9 Eleven was a psychological thriller. It was about 11 random people who werekidnapped and locked into a room, then threatened and killed one by one. Its subtitle was “Be afraid. Be very afraid”. Hetook two and a half years to complete this project as it was a challenge for him to find investors and 12 fluent Hindi speakers in the Washington DC area.
Sadhna Mathur, Krishnan Mathur, and Narain Mathur supported him. He won the 2012 Rising Star Award for this film at the Canada International Film Festival, and it was also awarded as the best feature film at the People Film Festival in Manhattan, New York City, where it was the last show of the event.
His film Kiran met Karen was about two women where an Indian woman in New York was in a relationship with an American woman journalist. It is partly inspired by the true story of one of his friends. He made many short films also during his career.
