Dr. Benny Prasad is a talented Gospel musician and instrumental artist from Bangalore, India. He designed the Bentar, a 54-string guitar, and the world's first bongo guitar. Born as Kandakuri Benny Prasad on August 6, 1975, he had terrible health issues and depression in early childhood. He was the first of his generation in his family, and everyone had great hopes for his future. But, disappointing everyone, he was diagnosed with severe asthma issues. He started taking cortisone steroids, because of which he had rheumatoid arthritis. Wrong medication developed 60% of his lung damage and failing immune system. He completed his studies at the Kendriya Vidyalaya National Aerospace Laboratories. His father worked as a scientist at the National Aerospace Laboratories, and his mother was the assistant director of FEBA Radio.

During childhood, his family forced him to excel in his studies and become a role model for his younger siblings. But all went in vain. He became depressed with life and reached a situation where he found death to be the only release, so he attempted to commit suicide at the young age of 16. Later, his mother convinced him to attend a retreat. At 16, he encountered the power of Jesus Christ, which was a fresh start toward a new beginning in his life. God's power brought about a new change in his life. He started praising God through his music. Benny joined Youth with a Mission (YWAM). He completed a School of Music in Missions in New Mexico and received an Associate of Arts Degree through YWAM's University of Nations in 2003. Benny Prasad has performed his musical mission before Presidents and parliaments on cultural stages, such as the 2004 World Olympics and the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany.

He got the rare opportunity to conduct a concert on Pitcairn Island after 200 years! From being the shame and hopelessness of his family, Benny became their pride. Benny Prasad holds the World Record for being the Fastest to travel to 245 Nations, including Antarctica, in 6 years, six months, and 22 days. He says that in 2002, he received God's call to travel to every country and proclaim God's power through music. He married Zanbeni Prasad Odyuo on August 6, 2016, at St. Mark's Cathedral in Bangalore. They met at the 10th Anniversary Celebration of a Missionary Training Organization in India, where he was the invited speaker, and she was a singer.
