Adarsha Ramakumar

Adarsha Ramakumar is the younger son of the famous South Indian Carnatic Mridangam artist K S Ramakumar and his wife, K S Veena. They have two sons- Sriharsha Ramakumar who is a well-known flautist, and Adarsha Ramakumar, who is a violinist. Adarsha Ramakumar was born as well as raised in Bangalore, Karnataka.  Having been born into such a musical family, Adarsha started learning to play the violin when he was at the tender age of 6 years. He was taught by Smt. Bhagya Krishna Murthy, and has been under her tutelage for over 13 years.

Adarsha Ramakumar has also said that he is a great admirer of Sri. M S Gopalakrishnan, a veteran of violin in Carnatic music. Adarsha Ramakumar, his elder brother Sriharsha Ramakumar, and their father K S Ramakumar have together and individually played for more than 700 stage performances, mainly for temple performances and programs. Adarsha Ramakumar now has a YouTube channel where he posts his rendition of famous songs by playing his violin. His YouTube channel has over 1000 subscribers and 1,11,249 views. Adarsha also works as an analyst at Barclays. He currently lives in Wilmington, Delaware, United States. He is married to Soujanya Karanth.
