Advani Lakshmi Devi started working as an actress in the year 1956 where she worked in a film titled “Bhakta Vijaya” which was the story of a devotee named Vijaya. The film also received an award for being the “Best Feature Film in Kannada”. After that, there was no looking back for Lakshmi Devi. She featured in films like “Gandhada Gudi” and “Sri Srinivasa Kalyana”, where she played the role of a mother and everyone remembers her for that role. Her filmography includes films like “Shukradese” which was about good fortune, “Mangala Suthra” about marriages in India during the 50s, “Mane Thumbida Hennu” about the married life of a woman and so on. She also played the role of Seete in the 1960 film named “Dashavathara”. Her film “Gandhada Gudi” of 1973 had a sequel made in 1994 titled “Gandhada Gudi Part 2”.
