and Lakshmi Rai. It is the official remake of the 1997 Hindi film Ishq. He had worked in film Arjun, which is played by Darshan, released in 2008. The next film was Prema Chandrama which was released in 2011. The title of the film is inspired by the song of the famous Kannada film Yajamana, released in 2000. He was on the way to Mumbai for post-production of his upcoming films, where he suffered a heart attack. On November 19 2020 in Bangalore, he passed away suffering from massive cardiac arrest. His films Champion and Rangamandira were ready to be released but outbreak of COVID-19 delayed their production which was released after his death.
