He belonged to a middle-class family where his father was a farmer, and his mother was a housewife. The Government School of Thekkatte, Karnataka, is where he completed his primary and high school studies. After High school, Vajrang enrolled and completed his pre-University at Viveka Junior College and Bachelor's degree from Tunga Mahavidyalaya Thirthahalli. In 2014, he was crowned as Mr Kundapura of Coondapur, and later in 2015, he gave a chance to his actor side.

Mr Shetty's first movie was Siddhartha where he portrayed the main villain character JANI. Siddhartha- was directed by director Prakash, who was known for his movie Milana- a romantic comedy film. He landed his first lead role in 2017 in the Kannada Horror movie named Mantram, where his character name was Sanju. Vajrang has starred in over 6 Kannada language movies till today and has only worked in the Sandalwood entertainment industry.
