Shivangi Mittal

Shivangi Mittal is a writer and director in the film and television industry. She was born in Delhi on July 6, 1992 and living in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She is passionate about Directing and writing and shows her talent effectively through her fabulous works in her films. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Delhi, completed between 2009 an 2012. She continued her studies at Banaras Hindu University completing a Master’s in Journalism and Mass Communication in 2014. During her Master’s phase, she participated in the All India University Boxing Championship for one year. Shivangi holds a PG certificate in directing from the Film and Television Institute of India, which she completed from 2014 to 2016. Her passion and love for cinema have led her to make and write such great remembering movies, shorts, and TV series.

She is the writer and director of shorts like A Hairy Tale, Grounders, Tremors, Bandish: Symphony of Soul (2016), Knot (2015), The Secret (2014), and she also directed the short Unsaid in 2015. During her studies she inturned with Hindustan Times, as a camera intern at TV5 Shreya Broadcasting Pvt Ltd, and at TV Today Aaj Tak. She worked as Chief Assistant Director at Ninderwal Entertainment Private Limited from 2016 to 2017. From 2017 to 2019, she worked with Climb Media (I) Pvt. Ltd. as an Associate Director. After that, she began working on a freelance basis in the film and directing industry to showcase her skills. She was the second unit director for Chakki (released in 2022), Cookies (a TV series), and worked as an associate director on Samvidhaan, Samvaad in 2020, The River of Love in 2021, Safar, Dhuusar in 2019, The Dream Weaver in 2019, and T for Taj Mahal in 2018. Her popular works like A Hairy Tale and Tremors these both received critical acclaim at major national and international film festivals.
