Hindi Writer Radheshyam Rai

Radheshyam Rai is a writer and journalist who works in the Bollywood TV industry. Born on 1st January 1968 in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh. Radheshyam comes from a very humble family with no connections in the film or TV industry. He gained his success all on his own without a help from no one. Growing up, Radheshyam was heavily influenced by writers and books and authors.

His favourite subject was Hindi and English literary and he used to love to write short stories and playwrights. After completing his schooling education from Ghazipur, Radheshyam moved to Varanasi, and joined Queen’s College of the University of Varanasi where he studied literature. After completing his graduation, Radheshyam worked on local and regional papers for a while where he used to write columns weekly and monthly. For his post-graduation, Radheshyam joined Jawahar Lal Nehru University in New Delhi, where he completed his masters from.

At Jawahar Lal Nehru too, he wrote many stories and even playwrights for small plays, skits and nukkad nataks. Finally after completing his studies from JNU, he moved to Mumbai and started auditioning for work. He wrote a lot and put a lot of work out there. He worked on some commercials and infomercials and in 2004 finally was hired to write for the hit TV serial ‘ Shagun Shagun was a popular Hindi language Indian Televis >> Read More... ’. The story of two extremely close cousins who are of polar opposite ideologies about their lives. He was next hired to write some 29 episodes on Waqt Batayega Kaun Apna Kaun Paraya, a story about the life of a adopted girl who seeks to find love and affection from her new foster family.

He wrote for many other shows like Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki, Aati Rahengi Baharein Aati Rahengi Baharein was a Hindi TV serial teleca >> Read More... , Avantika on channels like Sony, Star Plus and Sahara One. His major contributions are done towards working for Kumkum: Ek Pyaara Sa Bandhan. Radheshyam went on to write a whopping 1500 episodes between 2003 and 2008. He later left the writing world of Indian television and started working at Nehru Yuva Kendra Sanghatan where he worked as their media advisor, he used to overlook the public relations of the youth organisation, releasing press releases and whatnot. Currently he is Chief Senior Editor at the news channel TV24.
