Chandrakant Shenoy

Chandrakant Shenoy was born in Ville Parle, Maharashtra in India. He completed his high school in 1993 from Madhavrao Bhagwat High School. Next, he did Bachelor in Fine Arts from Sir J.J. School of Art and finished his graduation in 1999. He had discovered his interest in the field of animation and visual effects in his school days itself and hence decided to pursue it as his career. Chandrakant started working immediately after completing his graduation.

In November 1999 he joined as a museum curator of Raymond Group and until April 2003 looked after the Singhania family’s private museum of antiquities. Next, for about a year, he worked as a storyboard artist under VLC Tata Elxsi for animations for Hindustan Unilever. After quitting this profession, he joined as a visualizer with EFX Prasad Film Lab and worked for three years on storyboard and matte paint for various Bollywood films.

This is how he stepped into the Hindi film industry. After leaving this for around five and a half years, he worked for Pixion Studios as a digital matte painter and continued working on storyboard and matte paint for Hindi films. Later he joined Reliance Media Works in 2012 and worked on some big pictures as the senior matte painter.

Apart from this in movie region he worked as a visual effects visualizer and worked on computer graphics in fashion. Besides pictures, Chandrakant has also worked for a TV Series, ‘Independent Lens’ which is a documentary released in the year 2014. He worked as a visual effects artist for the episode one of the series.
