Sulabha Arya was part of very first sitcom ‘ Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi’ of Indian TV industry. This serial was written by Sharad Joshi. It was directed by Kundan Shah and Raman Kumar. It was a light comedy. Sulbha said in one of her interviews that this serial can be created again with full magic as today the TV Industry is technically strong than that time when the serial was produced.

Other than this she has worked in ‘ Filmi Chakkar’. This serial was based on incidents of filmy buff family. All family members were crazy for films. But Dadi Amman hates them because her husband was a film producer and had run away because of one of his flop film. She had performed a supporting role in it.

Other than this she has worked in ‘Savdhaan India’. This serial was about crime stories. In this, Anjali comes to live with Sulbha as paying guest. She was physically abused by an inspector. How these both ladies fight against the cruelty of that inspector forms the story. Overall, Sulbha Arya is versatile actress and worked in many serial and movies also. She mostly has performed in supporting roles. She has worked in Marathi serials and films also. She has friendly nature and always speaks politely.

Sulabha Arya is an Indian actress known for her role of Kanta ben in ‘ Kal Ho Naa Ho’. She has worked in numerous Bollywood films and Indian television serials. She is now known for playing the role of Daadi in many shows and films.

Her first Film was Lorie back in 1984 where she played the role of her own self. Since then she has worked in number of films like Daddy (1989) where she played the character of Tarabai, Diksha (1991) where she was Konga’s guardian Dondamma, Jaanam (1992) played Kamla, Tahqiqaat (1993) in which she played Peter’s Mother, Damini (1993) in which she was Rishi Kapoor’s Aunt and other roles in films like Ek Hi Maqsad directed by Pravin Bhatt, Udaan directed by Asrani, Aa Ab Laut Chalen directed by Rishi Kapoor, Hello Brother and many more in the 90’s.

Her work in television involves playing roles in shows such as popular sitcom on Indian television Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi. She played Bhavani’s Sister in Piya Ka Ghar and was featured in shows like Ghar Ki Baat Hai and Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki.

She has 2 children namely Sameer Arya and Sagar Arya. Sameer is a Bollywood cinematographer and Sagar is an actor like his mother. Sulbha’s Partner is Ishan Arya, Bollywood cinematographer. Her daughter-in-law Shrishti Behl Arya is also an actress and producer.

Sulabha Deshpande is a very popular actress in movies and Television. She was born in the year 1937 and brought up in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She also directed a few Television serials. She acted in more than sixty-five movies that are an achievement for a theater artist. Her acting is all performance oriented, and adored by lots of people.
