Ruby Taurus

Ruby Taurus is the nickname for Rubeena Akhter. Taking up roles as an actor, singer, and corporate anchor, Ruby’s energy and enthusiasm have been unwavering since the inception of her career, and she believes the road ahead is long with much to achieve. Her artistic journey began in childhood as a child artist for Doordarshan, setting the stage for a remarkable career. While Rubeena shines as an actor and singer, her directorial prowess takes center stage, particularly in hit songs like “Kudi Patakha,” “Bubbly Cheeks,” and “Mitran Di Jaan,” which comes under the banner of T-Series. Her most famous film, “Bubbly Cheeks,” earned her the Best Debut Director Award at the Indogma Film Festival in 2019. Rubeena’s creative field extends to songwriting, as seen in “Kudi Patakha,” where she not only features but also pens the lyrics. 

She comes from the land of Jammu and Kashmir. Ruby Taurus embarked on her journey after graduating from the University of Kashmir, eventually making Mumbai the heartbeat of her career in Bollywood. Beyond her artistic pursuits, she continued to explore various roles, from a voice-over artist to corporate jobs, casting coordinator, model, and director. Ruby Taurus also became a corporate anchor with over 1200 shows across India and abroad. She has hosted events, from fashion shows and TV presentations to live concerts and award ceremonies. She had won the JEMA awards, honoring Bollywood celebrities with roots in Haryana, and hosted the prestigious Bharat Gaurav Awards. 

She was also a cover girl for the magazine G3 and secured the runner-up position in the international beauty pageant Empress Universe in 2018. Rubeena’s TV stint includes an appearance on the MTV reality show “Date to Remember,” where she was among the top 5 contestants.  In the commercial aspects, Rubeena acted for brands like BSNL, the Income-tax department of India, Ortho balm, Birla TMT, and GLA University. Rubeena released her new music videos, and she mentioned, “Dreams do come true, and one should not feel demotivated due to harsh circumstances or people. It’s the final goal that matters.”
