Born and raised in Shimla, (on the 26th of August 1987), Rubina Dilaik
has been an onscreen favourite for quite a while now. Having won two local beauty pageants, Dilaik wasn’t entirely new in front of the cameras.
She is best known for playing the protagonist in the hit TV series
,and its sequel of the same name, for which she won the favourite Beti award for the role of Radhika. While continuing with her studies, Dilaik was a national level debater, and later participated in Nachle Ve with
. Her onscreen pairing with
in Chotti Bahu was very well accepted by the audience, and won them the Favourite 'Jodi Zee Rishtey award' in 2009.
Apart from other supporting roles, her most recent venture was the role of Jeannie in '
Jeannie Aur Juju
'. Dilaik is also a known philanthropist. She has managed to streamline her love for fashion and design into her own brand ‘Sbeatus’, and is known for wearing only self-designed outfits. Through her fashion line, Dilaik recently designed and organised a photo shoot with her well known colleagues for charity. Her fitness regime revolves around Rumba and belly dancing, which helps her endurance level, keeps her fit, and in shape. She deems herself to be very experimental by nature, and is open to any role that enhances her acting skills, but is not too particular.
