Karishma Rawat is an Indian television actress and blogger. She was born on 22nd June in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. She was born in the middle class family. Her father is a businessman. She did her schoolings from Raja Ram Mohan Roy Academy in Dehradun. It is a boarding-cum-day scholar school located at the centre of Clement Town, Dehradun. This school is one of the Cambridge School chains. She did her graduation from Institute of Management Studies in Dehradun. She is the writer of the lifestyle blog GingerSnaps. She loves writing. Her favorite books are The Catcher in the Ray, The Silence of the Lambs, The Time Traveller’s Wife, God of Small Things, etc. She is also a good singer. She used to take part in singing competitions in her school days and college life.
She moved to Mumbai to become an actress. She joined acting school in Mumbai. She made her debut in the show “Surveen Guggal- Topper of the Year” in 2012. It was a TV drama series that was telecasted on Channel V India. The show was about a girl Surveen who always topped her exams and how she struggle in her life to become a fashion designer. Karishma acted the character of “Naro” in this show, the roommate of Surveen. She is diabetic and had a very possessive boyfriend Gogia who usually abused her and humiliated her in front of all. Due to which she ate the poison but Surveen helped her and eventually Gogia ended up being caught by police. The show had continued with another season also.
