Prabhleen Sandhu is a Punjabi television and film actress who got his fame in the popular drama television series, on Colors, where she essayed the role of Kranti, a revolutionary. She has proven her mettle as an actress and she also received many praises and compliments for her performance in this serial. After this, she got the chance to work in a pivotal role on Zee TV’s . She played a motherly role in the serial from which she was hesitant to do at first. But since her character looks interesting, she accepted the offer and played as Vidya. Prabhleen was also did some episodics in the thriller television series, Aahat on Sony TV and Horror Nights on STAR One channel.

Prabhleen was born on December 5, 1983 at Firozpur, Punjab, India. She took up Masters in English. She danced and act well when she was a child so her journey as an actress in the Punjabi world became so easy for her.

She was debuted as a film actress in the Punjabi film, Yaaran Naal Baharan in year 2005 where she played the role of Dolly, friend of Harman Kaur (played by ). This film became one of the successful films in the Punjabi film industry. Later, she played as Guddi in another Punjabi film, Ik Jund Ik Jaan. She also bagged a role in a Punjabi-Pakistani film, Mehndi Waley Hath where she played as Ravee. Prabhleen played as Zeba in the drama film, Rahe Chardi Kala Punjab Di which stars and Sharad Saxena. In 2011, she was roped in to do the role of Anju in the crime thriller film entitled, Not a . This film was adapted from the horrible murder of Neeraj Grover in year 2008. She was also seen in the film, Sixteen and later, she played as Miriam in the super hit film, Shahid opposite with Rajkumar Yadav. This film was premiered in various film festivals from around the world. In 2013, she played the main lead in the film, Nabar. The film won as the Best Punjabi Film in the 60th National Film Awards.

Prabhleen Sandhu was born to a Sikh Jat family in Firozpur, Punjab, on the 5th of December, 1983. She had dreams of becoming a doctor or an IAS officer in her college days but destiny did not want it so. During one of her college fests, she faced the camera for a music video and all her earlier dreams went for a six. Very soon she left for Mumbai and was fortunate to bag a role in a TV serial within the first three days of reaching Mumbai.

Before coming to Mumbai, Prabhleen did several Punjabi films. Her first film was Yaaran Naal Baharan, co-starring Juhi Babbar as a friend. Thereafter she did Mehndi Wale Haath and Ek Jind Ek Jaan where she played the role of sister to and . Her film in Punjabi with the title Nabar in 2013, won the award for Best Punjabi Film at the 60th National Film Awards.

Fame first came Prabhleen’s way with the Periodic Indian soap based on the freedom struggle aired on Colors by the name of Mohe Rang De. In this serial she played the role of Kranti. Then she donned a new avtaar in Zee’s upcoming show, Aapki Antara. She successfully portrayed the role of Vidya, a middle class wife who faces the agony of adjusting with the illegitimate child of her husband.

Bollywood has also given some breaks to Prabhleen. She has earlier acted in Not A Love Story. Her role as Rajkumar Rao’s wife in Shahid won critical acclaim for her. In this movie, she also ventured into production. Prabhleen is currently shooting for the movie Akki Teh Nikki Teh Vikki.
