This film was premiered in various film festivals from around the world. In 2013, she played the main lead in the film, Nabar. The film won as the Best Punjabi Film in the 60th National Film Awards.

Prabhleen Sandhu was born to a Sikh Jat family in Firozpur, Punjab, on the 5th of December, 1983. She had dreams of becoming a doctor or an IAS officer in her college days but destiny did not want it so. During one of her college fests, she faced the camera for a music video and all her earlier dreams went for a six. Very soon she left for Mumbai and was fortunate to bag a role in a TV serial within the first three days of reaching Mumbai.
Before coming to Mumbai, Prabhleen did several Punjabi films. Her first film was Yaaran Naal Baharan, co-starring Juhi Babbar as a friend. Fame first came Prabhleen’s way with the Periodic Indian soap based on the freedom struggle aired on Colors by the name of Mohe Rang De. In this serial she played the role of Kranti. Then she donned a new avtaar in Zee’s upcoming show, Aapki Antara. She successfully portrayed the role of Vidya, a middle class wife who faces the agony of adjusting with the illegitimate child of her husband.
Bollywood has also given some breaks to Prabhleen. She has earlier acted in Not A Love Story. Her role as Rajkumar Rao’s wife in Shahid won critical acclaim for her. In this movie, she also ventured into production. Prabhleen is currently shooting for the movie Akki Teh Nikki Teh Vikki.
