Moonmoon Banerjee is a well known television actress in the industry, and also has a name in the modeling world. She has done a couple of roles but is most popularly known for her role in the serial Kasauti Zindagi Ki. This serial started in the year 2001 on Star Plus, produced by , and continued till 2008, with a full 1423 episodes. The serial is a romantic dram, that etches the love between two people from different social statuses, and how destiny keeps bringing them in front of each other, and the rest of the story is about love, loss and more.

She has also been known for her role in the serial Sasural Genda Phool. This is the story of a rich, spoilt girl being married in a middle class family, and how she copes with the changes, and the funny incidents that result from it. She plays the role of Panna, who is the daughter of the family where the protagonist is married in. She is married, and works at a multinational company and earns much more than the members of her family.

Her real name is Mohua, but her father’s brother gave her the name after the popular Bengali actress. She had done Kasautii Zindagii Kay, post her marriage and divorce, to start afresh her career. She has also done the serial Babul Ki Duayen Leti Ja, which was a serial about the father-daughter relationship post marriage of the daughter. It was aired on Zee. She was also seen in the serial Kkusum that was based on the story of a young woman who turns widow and her life and relationships after that with her in-laws.

Though, she admits that it was from advertisements and not serials, that she got her due acknowledgement. She was seen in the Horlicks advertisement by , as a young mom, persuading her kid to follow good eating habits. Her current television ranking is 1036, and that of last week’s was 1011. She reached the peak of her fame in April, 2012 when she had a ranking of 104.
