Kanika Dang is a notable Indian stage, film and television actress who usually portrayed supporting and motherly roles. She studied at the Methodist High School in Kanpur and graduated at National School of Drama in year 1995. She is associated with Dotted Line Productions who produced Bob Manhoff’s stage play, The Owl and The Pussycat in 2007, from where she acted as The Pussycat opposite Kumud Misra under the direction of
Satyajit Sharma
(an NSD graduate). She also did Dreamworks Production’s The Last Train, under the direction of NSD Alumni,

. She also donned the theatrical presentation of Hindi writer, Krishna Sobti’s masterpiece entitled, Mitro Marjani, where she played the character of the bold and lusty, Baalo under the direction of Dr. Devendra Raj Ankur. . She was starred in the 2007 film, Eik Dasttak by Shekhar S. Jha. In 2009, She acted in another motherly role in Bollywood Hero in year 2009. In the same year, the actress played the role of Ma in the short film, The Homemaker. She bagged the role of Rita Massi in Alankrita Shrivastava’s Bollywood film, ‘Turning 30!!!’ in 2011. In the same year, she was also seen in the Hindi romance film,
Always Kabhi Kabhi
. She played as a teacher in the children’s film,
Chillar Party
and as Badi Rani in the Bollywood romantic drama film, ‘Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster’. She also worked in the action thriller film, D-Day in 2013. This year, she has done the musical-thriller film, The Xposé by
