Vikas Kumar is an Indian dialogue coach and film and television actor. He was born on May 18, 1977 in Gaya, Bihar. He has done his schooling from Welham Boy’s School. He began his career as a dialogue coach. A dialogue coach is a person who helps an actor frame up the speech and voice of a character which is most suitable for the film. He runs lines with the actor and tries to make the character more credible.
When Kumar was asked how he landed up in this profession, he said,” I will say it was God’s will. While I was auditioning for roles, most of the time I got rejected due to my looks. But the good thing was whoever saw my tapes always said that dialogue delivery is my strong point.”
His first project was the movie “
Gulaal
” in 2009. He had to teach the actors to speak in a Rajasthani accent. He also worked in various Bollywood projects like “Ishqiya” and “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara”. In Ishqiya he taught

how to curse. In “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara” he ran lines with Kalki Koechlin.
Kumar has also tried his hand at acting. His first television show was “C.I.D” in 1998 in which he played the role of Senior Inspector Rajat. It is a crime detective series. His second show was “
Khotey Sikkey
” in 2011 in which he played the role of Senior Inspector Damodar Deshmukh. This is also a crime series. The group of six solves crime activities in Mumbai.
His third television show is “
Powder
” which began in 2010. He played the role of Umesh Jagdale. This show is about the new addiction among youngsters-drugs. The drug lord, Naved Ansari is on the radar of the honest team of Narcotics Control Bureau.
Thus, Vikas Kumar is a dialogue coach as well as an actor.
