1. Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat

Currently being aired on channel &tv, it is about two neighboring couples wherein the male protagonists try to impress each other's wives, making schemes to create problems and by putting each other in trouble. A daily comedy show about Gokuldham society, with multi-cultured families. These families are shown to live typical Indian cultured lives. The show mostly revolves around the main character of Jethalal and the problems which he faces. It shows the documentary on real life incidents of the younger generation which falls into the trap of murders, harassment, kidnapping act. Shows aims at helping and educating them so that safety measures can be taken to avert crime.

6. Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai

The story revolves around the upper class Gujarati family living in a luxurious apartment building in Mumbai. "THE SARABHAI" (Indravadan Sarabhai and his wife Maya) who are stylish and sophisticated vs "THE SARABHAI" (their older son Sahil and his wife Monisha Sarabhai) who are middle class, simple and happen to live across the hallway. The show is about the clash of thinking towards the two classes and perception towards lives. It has been the funniest sitcom in the entire history of television.

7. 24 Season 1

It is based on ’24 Serial 1’, an American crime thriller show. The Indian version of 24 is the first adaptation which acquired rights from the Fox channel and 24 producers. Starring Anil Kapoor as a main lead, the show is set in Mumbai following the Anti-Terrorist Unit (ATU) where the protagonist tries to save the Prime Minister from an assassination and during this process his own family comes under danger.

8. Na Aana Is Des Laado

Set in the village of Veerpur, the show is about the under-developed rural area with absolutely no rights to women. "Ammaji", an Orthodox female lead, was the head of the village to whom sons were a blessing and sole bread earner for the family. Whereas daughters were considered as a burden and were killed as soon as they were born (much to the dismay of their mothers).

9. Diya Aur Baati Hum

The story revolves around a middle class girl named Sandhya (who wishes to become an IPS officer) and a boy named Sooraj (self-made man who owns a sweet shop). They both are married under strained circumstances. Telecast on Star Plus, it is about their hardships and how Sooraj supports Sandhya to fulfill her dreams against the wishes of his mother.

10. Gangaa

The show is about a young widow named Ganga, who is married at a very young age. She loses her husband and father in a riot on the banks of the river Ganga. The story is about her fight against the people and society who puts restrictions on the young widow and how she wishes to live her life happily and carefree.
