Tarun Uppal is an Indian television actor, who plays some widely acclaimed television comedy characters in some of the most noted television comedy programs in the Hindi Television Industry. He is best known for his appearance as ‘Pinku Diwan’ in the famous SAB TV’s classic ‘ Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ (2008), which has successfully completed more than 1500 episodes till January, 2015.

The series, which is produced by Neela Films, is a hot favourite among the audiences, who want some light moments among the very busy incoming traffic of family dramas. Along with other child actors of the series, he has gained a far & wide attention of the viewers all over due to his association with the series. Among the Hindi movies- Haasil, Bullet Raja, Saheb biwi aur gangster, sahib biwi aur gangster returns, Gangs of wasseypur part 1 and 2, bas itna sa khwab hai , etc won many awards and accolades. Tigmanshu Dhulia wrote the dialogues and screenplay for the Mani Ratnam’s Dil Se. In recently released Shahid Tigmanshu’s acting was much appreciated. He is known to act in many of his own directed movies and in his acclaimed directorial venture Gangs of Wasseypur part 1 he played the role of the main antagonist.
