Hugo Adnan Boumous is a footballer of Moroccan origin. He plays football for the Indian football club of Goa and his playing position is that of an attacking midfielder. He was born in Renne, a city in northwestern France. He is a graduate from Stade Lavallois Mayenne Football clubs academy in France. He joined the youth team of the reserves in 2011 and shortly after, made his debut with them.
He was promoted and made part of the senior team in May in 2015 when he signed his first formal contract with the reserves and became a part of their squad. He played his debut match in the last round of Domino'sLigue 2, a French league and scored a goal while playing as a substitute for a team player. His team won the match with a convincing scorecard of 3-0.
In July 2016 Boumous shifted to Morocco and there joined the Moroccan Batola Club called Moghreb Tetouan. He signed a three-year deal with them. In February 2018 Hugo moved from Moghreb Tetouan and moved from Morocco to India and joined the Goa Football club, which is part of the Indian Super League as a substitute for the player Manuel Arana.
He made his debut with a match played just two days later which ended in a draw against Northeast United Football Club. On February 22, he scored his debut goal against Delhi Dynamos and the match tied at a score of 1-1. In the International career, Hugo played for the Moroccan football team in the Under-23 format in a friendly match played against Cameroon.
He was taken out of the team after a video did rounds on the social media where Hugo was smoking Shisha. He has a unique style with the ball wherein he scoops the ball from midfield or maybe from an even deeper position. He effortlessly holds onto the ball while surging past the opponents, a sight that increases the heartbeats of the audience, and sends an adrenaline rush through their backs.
Hugo Boumous scored a total of 11 goals for the Laval 2 club from 2013 to 2016. He scored none in the Championnat National 3 in the 2013-2014 season, seven in the next edition and four in 2015-2016. As part of Laval, he scored a goal in Ligue 2 in the 2014-2015 season. While with FC Goa Hugo scored five goals. His career has a total of 18 goals.
