Narayan Das

Narayan Das is a footballer who was born in Tribeni in the state of West Bengal in India. He is a Left Back football player and currently plays for the Goa team. During his youth, Narayan Das was part of the Tata Football Academy. He joined the Academy in 2008 and was part of it till 2012.

After graduating from the academy, as part of his senior career, Narayan Das played for Pailan Arrows from 2012 to 2013. He scored his first goal on 18th November 2012 while playing against Prayag United. In his next match, against Sporting Goa, his football again found the net, leading the team to a victory with a scoreboard of 1-0. Narayan joined Dempo from 2013 to 2015.

Dempo were the league champions since the last three years when Das joined. The head coach of Dempo was Arthur Papas, the former coach of Pailan Arrows. His debut match for Dempo was against Mohun Bagan. The game ended with a draw.

He suffered from an injury on his knee during the Super League in 2014 while playing against Goa, which led to him missing the 2014-2015 edition. In 2014 Narayan was chosen by Goa while participating in the ISL Inaugural Domestic Draft and joined Goa football team on loan.

His first match from Goa's side was on 15th October 2014 against Chennaiyin. Unfortunately, Goa lost the game. Narayan suffered another knee injury in the semifinal match played against Atletico de Kolkata. Goa retained Das for the 2015 season of the League. Das continued playing as a part of Goa till 2015. In January of 2016, he entered East Bengal and played from their side in the 2015-2016 edition.

On July 12, 2016, Narayan Das signed up for Pune City. He made his debut in one of the matches against Mumbai City. Pune lost that particular match. In 2017 Narayan rejoined East Bengal on loan. In 2017 he joined Goa football club and in 2018, the Delhi Dynamos. As a part of the National football team of India, he made his debut in the under-19 team in 2011 against the football team of Turkmenistan.

India won that match scoring three goals. His U23 debut was in 2013 against Lebanon, which India won by 5-2. In 2013, das played for the first time for the senior Indian team in a match against Nepal. India won with the scorecard showing 2-0. His first international goal as on 3rd September 2016, in a friendly game, played against the team of Puerto Rico.
