Bruno Colaco is a football player. He was born on 11th October 1991 in the coastal state of Goa in India. He currently plays for Goa's football team. He plays the role of the goalkeeper in the football teams in which he plays. Initially, Bruno played handball and represented his school Holy Rosary Convent High School at various levels including U-14, U-17.
He also played for the u-19 handball team of Goa. Bruno confessed to his cousin, Luis Barreto, a well-known goalkeeper at that his passion lied in football, not in handball. He joined a summer camp where he took training for football and soon handball took a backseat while all his attention focussed towards football. His talent gained recognition, and Brahman and Sankhwalar took him under his guidance in his teenage years.
He began participating in competitive football at the age of twelve at the under-14 level. Soon he also started participating in Under-17 football too. He then moved to Fransa Pax of Nagoa and eventually won the trophy for his team at the GFA tourney in the under-14 category. In the same year, he became part of the SESA Football Academy based in Sanquelim in Goa.
He got selected for two years as part of their junior team. As a member of SESA, he played in Under-18, Under-22 GFA tourneys where his teams were victorious. He also represented Goa in the under-21 finals over Haryana. He played for SESA until the year 2012, after which he joined Margao Sports Club which is part of the Goa Professional League. Soon after he signed a contract with Sporting Clube de Goa, which is part of the I-League.
He played his debut match in 2013 in January against the Pune Football Club at the sports complex in Balewadi. The game ended in a draw and both teams scored no goals. For the 2012-2014 edition, Colcao signed a deal with Bengaluru Football Club, leaving Sporting Clube de Goa halfway through the season. His I-League debut with his new club was on 2nd November 2013 while playing a match against Mumbai Football Club, at the same Sports complex in Balewadi.
The game ended with a scoreboard of 2-2 resulting in a draw. After playing with Bengaluru FC for about a year, Bruno moved on and became a part of Dempo SC in the year 2014 and continued playing for them till 2015. In 2017 he joined the Goa football team and continues to play for them.
