Nidhi Kumari Prasad is an acclaimed singer who shot to fame through her participation in the singing reality show Indian Idol 11 in 2019. Nidhi Kumari was born on November 30, 1997, in Chakradharpur, Jharkhand. The diva did her schooling at Railway English School, Chakradharpur, and Kendriya Vidyalaya, Chakradharpur. She pursued music at Jamshedpur Women’s College, Jharkhand, and has a master’s degree in art. When Prasad was only six years of age, her mother sensed her liking towards singing. Thus, Nidhi began to train under her mentors Molly Bhattacharyaji and Chandrakant Apte. Later while pursuing music during her graduation and post-graduation, she studied art under the guidance of Dr. Sanatan Deep.

She has two siblings, an elder sister Neha Kumari and a younger brother Utkarsh Raj Kumar. During her stint on Indian Idol 11, the artist was labeled as Sharmili by the judges. Prasad trains children in singing in her hometown Adityapur.
