Neeraj Arya is an Indian folk Musician. He was born and brought up in New Delhi, India. He has studied the course of film and editing at the University of Madison, USA. He has two siblings, a sister, and a brother. His sister’s name is Reshu Arya, and his brother is Gaurav Arya. His hobbies are playing guitar, writing, and many more. Along with singing, he is also a good cook. He likes dogs and kids. He started his music career as a solo artist. As a solo artist, he performed on the 15th-century poet Kabir's works, influenced by his guru Prahlad Singh Tipaniya. In 2010, he founded and coordinated the Free Music Project and has been a faculty. He is also a music faciliatory with NGO Music Basti in Delhi. In 2012, he was performing on the streets of Mumbai as a part of an NGO, Natural Streets for Performing Arts (NSPA), where he met Mukund Ramaswamy, the violinist. After then, they worked as a duo.
In 2013, he formed a neo-folk fusion band, famously known as Kabir Café. This band was rated amongst India’s top Indie music groups. The band comprises seven members, and Arya is a lead Vocalist and Rhythm Guitarist. His band released their albums Panchrang (2016), Kabir café life (2018), and Sabr (2021). His song Mann Lagyo Mero Yaar Fakiri Mein from the album Panchrang was featured in the 2017 Indian Hindi film Fakiri. Song Hoshiyar Rehna Nagar Mein Chor Aavega was featured in the movie Baadshaho. Song Kya Leke Aaya Jagat Mein was featured in the Indian web series Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story. His band has performed across 15 countries, including the USA, Nepal, Bhutan, etc.
