Monica was born and brought up in Nasik. She studied a mixture of Commerce, Science, and Arts at school. She went on to pursue Engineering to build a career. However, her interest had always been in Anchoring, Modelling, Hosting and Media. She took a five-year training in Classical Music to refine her Singing. When it comes to languages, she has mastered, Hindi, English, Kannada, Marathi, Punjabi, Bengali, Tamil and Gujarati. Her knowledge enabled her to connect instantly with audiences having a cosmopolitan background. She started Blogging on various topics including travel, picture essays, current issues and personal experiences.

In 2009, she organized some events for an Event management company for around ten months. Monica took to dancing in both Indian and western form. She started anchoring for small events in her town for corporate launches and media seminars. She went to Mumbai to pursue an MBA from Whistling Woods International. She soon got placed in Doordarshan TV through campus placement. She became their Marketing Executive and hosted events. She managed both her degree and her job parallelly. This gave her confidence the track it needed.

Monica does not look down upon the jobs people from MBA and corporate professionals. But she could never see herself doing a normal desk job, with eyes on the screen. She started exploring more opportunities with DD News Channel. She got selected as an Anchor after a screen test. Many of her shows got telecasted.

Monica had studied from a good Film school. This helped her career a lot. She tried her hands at Marketing as well. Her job routine begins with taking sales calls to convert them into clients. She continued auditioning and looking for more opportunities. In the initial stage, the fund supply wasn't regular. She anchored for DD Sahyadri as well. She believes in having multiple options for a career.

Monica went on to anchoring for hundreds of events. These include Mara Corporate Meet and United Nations Foundation Global Entrepreneurs Council and-and Koovs Fashionista Launch Event Radio Bar Bandra. She anchored on Zoom TV, Channel V, Goa Fest and some Award Shows. Her break as a small screen actor came through the serial Pyaar Ka Dard Hai - Meetha Meetha Pyara Pyara. The Indian soap opera is a Rashree production broadcasted on Star Plus. Monica played the role of Ayesha's young sister called Rukhsaar Khan.

The show went off in 2014. Monica went on to try her hand at Bollywood. She worked in Bollywood Diaries in February 2016. It is a K.D.
