Raaj is the person behind the jokes and punch lines that made Sharma very popular. Prior to this, he has worked as writer for Comedy Circus. Raaj always wanted to be a writer, but his parents want him to pursue an Engineering course, so he took Bachelor of Engineering.

During college, he used to travel to Mumbai from Bhopal to search for an opportunity to write. When he got his first big break, he had his first cheque of Rs 23,000. His parents couldn’t believe the news, but they later realize that Raaj had chosen the right path.
