Sidney worked as an executive in the United Artists' studio. She also has a twin brother named Paul and two elder siblings, Avraham and Arthur. Susan was a doting aunt to her four nieces, Rebecca, Kate, Meredith, and Meg. Springfield Gardens High School and Brandeis University were her alma maters. Susan had pursued political science for her graduation. Since then she produced several documentaries, films, and TV shows like Cool Runnings, which depicted the trials and tribulations that the Jamaica national bobsleigh team had to go through to make a debut at the Winter Olympics in 1998, An Ideal Husband, Mary and Rhoda, and many others. In 1987, the jury of Primetime Emmy Award selected her for the category of Outstanding Children's Program. She is also the recipient of the ACE Award. In 1992, Susan helped Barbara Boxer, who was contesting for the post of U.S. Senate in California race, from Democrat, raise funds for her. After her win, Barbara thanked Susan for giving a boost to her political career as well as her campaign. Susan also represented and promoted Slumdog Millionaires' and Salmon Fishing in Yemen's screenwriter Simon Beaufoy, Dan Bucatinsky, Christopher Hollier, and many others.
