Ross Katz is primarily an American film producer. He is also a screenwriter and film director working predominantly in the Hollywood film industry. He was born on May 19th, 1971 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States Of America. His journey to being a producer is fascinating. Katz was a commercial rock DJ on the channel 94 WYSP FM in Philadelphia. His journey into cinema began while working as a grip on Quentin Tarantino’s film Reservoir Dogs. After that, he did an internship at Good Machine.

It is an independent film production, film distribution, and foreign sales company. Producers Ted Hope and James Schamus started Good Machine in the early 1990s. Matthew was beaten and tortured and left to die near Laramie. The movie has been created based on the interviews of more than 200 interviews with the residents of Laramie, Wyoming. The film follows Shepard going to the bar, being kidnapped, being tortured and finally killed.

The movie mixes real-life events with the actors playing out the scenes as it may have gone. Katz next two projects were both Academy Award nominees for Best Motion Picture. Todd Field’s In the Bedroom that came out in 200; it is an American Crime drama film based on Andre Dubus’s short story Killings and Sofia Coppola’s Lost in Translation that came out in 2003: rated as one of the best movies of the 2000s. In 2009, Katz wrote and directed a real-life short drama film for HBO: Taking Chances.

His directorial debut was met with praises by the television critics.
