Shahzad Nawaz is a Pakistani actor and filmmaker. He is the head of Media Assets business of the Jang Group. He also holds the position of the Head of Special Programming. He is best known for his performance in the television movie Daira, which was an adaptation by Moth Smoke. He has been awarded the 102nd International Advertising Awards. He has given Pakistani cinema an international platform. He was born in Pakistan and has done his schooling from there itself. He is a graduate in the fields of Marketing, Advertising, and Designing. For his further studies, he had been to the US and attended the Memphis College of Art. He has been a part of the Jang Group and Geo Network, which includes Newspapers, TV, magazines, and Radio. He looks into all aspects of the work which is related to animation, page design, and broadcast graphics. He also looks up to the events which are happening in Pakistan, UAE, and the UK. He won the 102th International Advertising Awards, which are a very prestigious award and was the first one to receive it from Pakistan. He has also worked in various commercial shows and sitcoms. Daira was one of his best projects. He wanted to work on the project before he became a part of Geo Network. It was an independent project by him.

He used to be tired after the whole day of work and once found Moth Smoke on his table which was given to him by his student. After reading the book Moth Smoke, he got a new path for himself and wanted to make the story into a television feature. The project was taken up by Geo Network and was very well appreciated by the audience. The series was a huge hit in Pakistan. The series was also aired in the US. It was the first television series to be aired for 156 minutes, whereas the usual timings are 104 minutes. He played the lead role of Daru. He is currently working on Botal Gulley. The story Botal Gulley is based on a political theme of the promises made by the government and how it impacts the feelings of people in it. He is a great follower of Anwer Sajjad. He believes in giving chances to more and more new talent and hence most of his cast consists of people from the theater background who can come up with their talents and showcase it in a better way to the audience. He has also been shooting for Baawan, which is an international project to be released in North America. He has been a guide for many students of business schools and takes seminars and workshops for colleges which are held all over Pakistan.

Shakun Batra

Shakun Batra is an Indian filmmaker and he was born on January 1st, 1983. He is a nationalized researcher in Accounts. He has completed his schooling from St.Xavier's High School from New Delhi and done his graduation from St. Stephen's College from Delhi University. After completing his graduation he has done post graduation in MBA. After completing his MBA he joined his father’s business. Though, he was thinking to do something else. He wanted to make his career in cinematography knowing that the film industry is famous for preferential treatment so he took a chance and taken admission in Vancouver Film School. After sometime he got to know that he was much interested in film direction. After he completed his graduation from film school, he decided to stay in Mumbai. From here he stared his journey of rising. He assisted Christopher Wilcha who won Emmy award and Errol Morris who won academy award throughout their shift in India. Shakun Batra also worked with well-known Bollywood movie production houses such as Aamir Khan Productions and Excel Entertainment. He worked as assistant director in 'Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na' directed by Abbas Tyrewala and in 'Rock On' directed by Abhishek Kapoor. Finally, Shakun Batra’s first directorial debut film was Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu that was directed by him when he was 28 years old. In this film he casted Kareena Kapoor and Imraan Khan in lead role with Dharma Productions. This movie has received great response at the box office as well as it received good reviews from critics.
