Mou Sultana is a multitalented singer ,song-writer, music composer and sound designer from Kolkata. She is known for her rebellious songs ,and she brings a totally unique and different style with her music.
She makes Bengali rock music, but can always be seen experimenting with trying out different styles in almost every new song.
Mou will be considered as an alternative artist who doesn’t make music for the mainstream ,and she thrives on it. She has collaborated with other alternative artists from India ,like Nucleya and others. Mou was also seen in the hit musical TV series called The Dewarists where she performed with Nucleya and American rapper Brooklyn Shanti.
The Dewarists is a series which showcases the life and trials and tribulations of the music artists, about how they came up as a musician and how their surroundings helped them become a better musician.
So keeping this in line, Mou Sultana ,with the help of Nucleya and Brooklyn Shanti, made a song about Kolkata. In 2019 Mou and Brooklyn reunited with their single Bam Bam.
Apart from music, Mou is also a psychologist. She has studied psychology from Ireland ,and she herself is a clinical supervisor at the Irish College of Humanities.
