Shekhar Ravjiani is a renowned Indian music director, composer, and singer. Shekhar was born on 29th November 1978 in Kutch district of Gujarat State. He was born to a share trader named Hasmukh Ravjiani; who always supported Shekhar to pursue his passion of music. Shekhar had a flair for music right from his childhood, and he had received training in music under the mentorship of Ustad Niaz Ahmed Khan. After getting trained, he took part in the reality singing talent show “Sa- Re- Ga- Ma- Pa” and got huge recognition through it. Shekhar went on to debut in Bollywood as a composer for the movie “Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi”. Shekhar reached new heights of success in music industry once he started composing with another great music maestro, Vishal Dadlani. Their duo, popularly known as “Vishal-Shekhar” won RD Burman award for budding talents for their composition and this strengthened their bond. Vishal and Shekhar together composed in 2013 for the movie named ‘Jhankar Beats’. It was songs like ‘Tu Ashiqui Hai’ and ‘Tera Muskarana’ that went on to top the music charts and gave them fame.

As time passed, they started becoming fairly popular among the youth as their music had the much-soughed punch and vigour. They composed music for movies like ‘ Musafir’ which acted like stepping stone of success for their career. Apart from singing and composing Hindi songs, Shekhar also tried his hands in composing Marathi and Telugu songs and turned out to be a huge success there as well. Shekhar’s music is enjoyed and loved for its sensitivity and fine beats. His current hits include the funky music of the movie “Bang-Bang”, the groovy numbers of “ Happy New Year” and also the versatile songs of “ Chennai Express”. Also, he has also gone on to be the judge of various reality TV shows like Jo Jeeta Wohi Super Star & Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007. Shekhar, as people know him is a very humble person. He is married to Chhaya Ravjiani, and the couple is blessed with a daughter named Bipasha.
