Arjuna Harjai known as Arjuna Harjaie is a Bollywood film composer, musician, and singer from India. In his career, he has won many Awards. He has worked in the genres of film score and soundtrack. He has been in the industry since 2009 and is currently working actively. In his initial days, Arjuna has worked as a Jingle composer. He has made his debut in the industry in the year 2011 as a film scorer.

He made his debut as a composer in the film named “ Calapor” with Priyanshu Chatterjee. He composed around four original songs in that film. That was the time when his career started blooming, and he went on to compose the background score and songs. In the year 2014, he has composed songs for the movie named Titoo MBA.

He has also composed a song named “Ankhiyaan” which is a beautiful song from the movie named “ Do Lafzon Ki Kahani.” The lyrics of the song was given by “Kumaar,” and it was sung by “ Kanika Kapoor.” At a very young age, Harjai learned Hindustani Classical Music from his parents. In the year 2006, he moved to Mumbai to get more knowledge of music from a well-known playback singer named “ Suresh Wadkar.” He has also learned piano at a very young age. He has studied in Trinity College till 8th Grade. In the year 2008, he passed out as the highest scorer in Audio Engineering from SAE College which is situated in Mumbai. In the year 2009, at several exchange programs in Mumbai and Delhi, he has studied counterpoint composition and jazz. Harjai has also assisted well-known music composer named “ Lalit Pandit” while he composed jingles for different brands.

He has assisted “Lalit Pandit” in the projects like Dabangg and Besharam. He got a chance to compose in films when Rajan Batra- a well-known Punjabi producer was looking for a new composer. He was looking for a composer who has a distinct vision for his movie named “Titoo MBA.”

Harjai has composed all the songs of this film. Many other films in which Harjai has worked, and have composed songs for are Mahi NRI which released in the year 2017, P.O.W: Bandi Yuddh Ke released in the year 2016 in which he has given the theme song, and background score as well. In the year 2016, a film named Guddu Engineer was released in which Harjai has given background score, and has composed the songs of this film.

Sajjad Hussain was born on 15 June in the year 1917 in Sitamau- a town in Mandsaur district, Madhya Pradesh, India. Sajid Hussain was a film score composer in India. He learned sitar from his father during his childhood. His father name was “Mohammed Amir Khan.” During his teenage, he learned flute, veena, violin, and piano. He was a well-established mandolin player who could play classical music on the instrument. –Sajjad Hussain decided to work as a film score composer in the year 1937. With his elder brother named “Nisar Hussain,” he came to Bombay. He did his first job for a salary of Rs. 30 per month. Later on, he moved to Wadia Movietone and worked there for a salary of Rs. 60 per month. After that, he worked with Rafiq Ghaznavi and Meer Saheb as an assistant music composer. He also worked with Shaukat Hussain Rizvi as a contract player. Later on, during 1940’s, his friend introduced him to a well-known music composer named Ali Baksh who is a father of popular actress Meena Kumari. Ali Baksh got impressed by Sajjad’s skills of playing mandolin and hired him for the post of assistant. After that, he became the assistant of well-known music director named Hanuman Prasad. During that time, he composed two songs. One for the film named Gaali which was released in the year 1944 and the other for the film named Ab Aaja Dil Na Lage. His debut film name was Dost as an independent director, released in the year 1944. The songs of the film were sung by Noor Jehan. These are “Alam Par Alam Aur Sitam Par Sitam,” “Koi Prem Ka Deke Sandesa,” and “Badnaam Mohabbat Kaun Kare.” These three songs were a big hit. Sajjad has worked with many eminent personalities like “Asha Bhosle,” “Lata Mangeshkar,” and “Suraiyya.” His best and the most popular score was in the film named “Rustom Sohrab” which was released in the year 1963. Sajjad was also a favorite composer of Lata Mangeshkar. ajjad had many controversies because of his nature. He was outspoken, short tempered, and moody. The biggest achievement of his career was when he composed music for the Sri Lankan Film named “Daiwa Yogaya” which was released in the year 1959. During his last years, Sajjad Hussain lived with his one daughter and five sons at Mahim in Natalwala Building. His five sons’ names are Yusuf, Mustafa, Noor Mohammad, Abdul Karim, and Nasir Ahmmad. They all became musicians. Sajjad Hussain died on 21st of July in the year 1995 in a state of unconsciousness. Pankaj Udhas and Khayyam were the popular film stars who attended his funeral.

He got the hearts of the audience award for his Solo-Concert in National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra. He released his first Sufi Album (Ajab Ishq Mati Da) in the year 2015, from the production of Susmit Sen, a popular Indian guitarist and the creator of Indian Ocean rock band. He concentrated on his first solo album with different genres. He sings songs based on the poets of Nirala, Gurunanak, Baba Bulleh Shah, Avatar Singh, and so on. His works are Naam, Hello Hello, Gabhru, etc. He sang the poem of Faiz Ahmad Faiz, the first Urdu song of him. He also composed poems of unknown poets. His Ajab Ishq Mati Da album got a five-star rating in the BBC. He did a song Kutte, the promotional song of the film Titli, under the production of Dibaker Banerjee and was released by Yashraj films. In a show, Producer Dibaker Banerjee listened to the song Kutte, the famous song of Harpreet Singh. The producer liked this song and took it as a promotional song for his film Titli (in the year 2015). His Ghah, based on the poem of Punjabi poet Paash. In his music, there are no limitations of category and lingo. He sings and composes songs in different genre and languages.
